I thought I'd start to share some information and start blogging.  So this will be my first Blog!

   Someone challenged my to create more than one image from my reference material.  The goal was to be more creative and expressive.

   My original photo was taking in late evening light on the New River up in Fries Va.  The light was glinting off the water, it was inspiring!  

So this was my first attempt.

I painted is somewhat literally this is a 12x16.

Next I had fun and explored and tried to make it more interesting!

Waters Edge is a 16x20.  I was much more expressive with my brushstrokes and pushed some colors a little more.

I will be doing more exploring in the future so stay tuned!
